While their basement had plenty of room for a playroom, they didn’t want their young sons on a different floor than them while they tried to work, cook, and coordinate schedules (which is basically the only kind of meaningful conversation you get in at this stage of life).
They asked us to transform their unused office space (because when you have their careers, you spend most of your working hours at the hospital) on the main floor into a safe, joy-filled playroom that could grow with their boys.
We were given creative freedom to source furniture, determine the best space plan, create the color scheme, and organize according to age and interest.
Not only was our client thrilled with the end result, but so was the national retail chain, Crate & Kids. I still remember the genuine gasp that came out of my mouth when I saw their Instagram post that featured this playroom!
When you have two doctors in the house, two very active preschool boys, plus another baby boy on the way, keeping your home organized is pretty much last on your list of priorities … and no one is going to argue with that.
Our clients invited us into their home to bring some calmness and structure into their about-to-be-even-more chaotic lifestyle. High on the to-do list was creating a playroom for their boys.
“Everything is SOooo beautiful, Lisa!!! You really outdid yourself!! We love it!! This is so freaking adorable! I can’t believe you did all this! It is more perfect than we could’ve imagined. Thank you!!” (exclamation points were all hers)
